Strand is one of a group of small towns in the Helderberg area that are on the eastern boundary of the Cape Town megalopolis. A 30 minutes drive on the N2 highway connects the Helderberg area to central Cape Town.

The Helderberg is popular for it's beautiful mountains, beaches, nature reserve, mountain hikes, wine estates and wine route, golf courses, and other delights that await visitors. The expansive Somerset Mall offers shopping convenience and variety. The historic town of Stellenbosch and its famous wine-route are just 15 minutes away along the R44 highway.
